Question · Action Scorecards 2025
Criteria met if the council has published a climate action plan that covers the area and includes references to SMART targets since September 2015.
SMART targets:
• Specific
• Measureable
• Agreed upon or actionable
• Realistic or relevant
• Time-bound (the target dates are set in line with the urgency of the situation)
The criteria will be met if all of the following conditions are met:
- The Climate Action Plan aims to reduce both operational and area-wide emissions.
- The Climate Action Plan includes reference to SMART targets.
- The Climate Action Plan was published after September 2015.
SMART targets are considered valid even if these targets are missing one of the SMART elements or are limited to operational emissions.
